Mattawa Host of the 7th T.S.B. Qualifier for 2008
As teams registered at Darren & LoriAnn Belangers new Out Doors store in Mattawa.
Mother Nature tried to dampen the event with the odd rain burst, but as usual anglers stayed one step ahead of her and came prepared ,
especially Howard Gifford.
It must have been hard ripping down the river with that umbrella but I, am going to have to buy one because the team of Mike & Howard
Gifford came back with a whopping 19.02lbs to take 1st place and big fish.
All these big Bass where taken back to the area were they where caught because of the generosity of Howard and Mike Gifford .
2nd place would be taken by the home team of Brent & Darren Belanger with 12.90lbs. The team did not expect to see such good weights come in this time of year as there has never been a Tournament held here at this part of summer.
3rd place would go to two anglers who just can’t stop fishing. Jack Saville & Richard Assinewai have been fishing together for years and the team is always a threat at any event. The boys proved that again this time by coming in with 12.84lbs
and said they had a great time doing it .
Lund & Mercury had hats to give away as draw prizes and even the youngsters in the crowd got
some Lund Rattle Traps that they will have for years.
We wish to thank the Town of Mattawa for a great time and we will see you next year.
