Denis Aubin and Wayne Barnes from ElkLake still got it
As another beautiful day got under way, teams streaked down the lake at 7am to get to the hot spot they hoped
would hold enough fish to take 1st place. The team of Denis Aubin and Wayne Barns have done well on Temagami Lake
several times, and they know what Bass can be like to catch if they are in a post spawn situation , which was
the case today. The tempreture on Cassels was 72 degrees yesterday , but today on Temagami it was 62 degrees.
Does not sound like much, but 2 degree tempreture change can effect how a fish reacts, so think what 10 degrees
differance over night will do even over night. You need to be able to make the right ajustment, and the team did
just that and managed to bring 16.14 lbs to the scales for 1st place, and along with that they weighed in a 3.88lb
one that gave them big fish of the day.

Now its not very often you will get a team to drive all the way down from Thunder Bay just to prove they still
got it , but thats exactly what the team of Gilbert and Rachel Maille did this weekend. The team used thier dog
to spot fish they said, then they just threw whatever to catch them. Well I might have to get a dog because the
team managed pull in 12.78lbs for 2cd place.<.p>

Now being a equal oppertuneity Series to boot, we allow older anglers to fish, so hearing of this Bruce Rogers and
Arand Michauville from North Bay decided to come up and fish. The team brought 12.56lbs to the scales and went home
with 3rd place and said they cant waite for us to get down to Trout Lake, Mattawa, Nosbonsing and Sturgeon.

Well see you on July 10 and 11th.
