Larder Lake Bass keep it Fair
Larder Lake is with out a dought one of the most fairest Lakes an angler could ask for. The Bass are basicaly all
the same size, and every angler who fishes a Tournament here, has the same chance as the next angler, no matter
if he or she is a seasoned pro or new to the sport of Tournament fishing.
Larder Lake is not a Lake you would probably fish if you where just fishing for the angler of the year, its more
of a lake where anglers fish just for the fun of seeing who can get the bragging rights for the day, and show
support for the Series and thier fellow anglers. It is one of the best places for a new team, who can learn new
tricks and stand a real good chance of winning because the Bass are, all so close in size.
Now if you think "YA RIGHT" just consider this, the top 5 teams where all within 1&1/4lb of each other with all
teams not far behind, "and" the total winning weight was only 9.36lbs with the big fish that weighed 2.32lbs,
thats not even a 2lb average. Jason Mazzocato from Kirkland Lake and Paul Boucherfrom Kenogami pulled off this
amazing weight, to take first place, and told me that they where glad the local cottagers where not in the
Tournament because they would have probably won.

Second place would go to the charismatic team of Dave LaFontaine from Earlton and Steve McLean, from Tomstown,
"WOW" sounds cool for 2 old boys that just flop around in the boat all day, trying to catch fish and not fall in LOL.
The team caught more sticks and rocks than fish, but managed to put 5 fish in the boat that weighed 8.30lbs, good
enough to take home the $5000 dollars for second. "OK'"OK" maybe not that much but we got the plaques.

When you get a lake with so many fish the same size sometimes its impossible to avoid a tie, and thats just what
happened to the teams of Andrew Shondfelt & Denis Breen, Darryl Dumas & Mike Verge all from Kirkland Lake.
Both teams came in with 8.26lbs, so the teams split 3rd & 4th place and tossed a coin for the plaques.Denis and
Andrew where also our Tournament Cordinators for the Tournament and did a great job.

John Sullivan and Gerry Angellichico from Kirkland Lake would take the 5th place prize with 5 fish that
weighed 8.06lbs. A lot of people dont realize that this team is getting better and better every year, fishing
out of their 16ft aluminum boat.
Next week where all off to Cassels and Temagami Lakes in Temagami, home of the 2010 Bass Classic. Should be
lots of teams and big wieghts, so come on out and watch the weigh ins at 3pm both days.
Have Fun Stay Safe
Dave LaFontaine
