Polson & Paiement still hot.
Norm Paiement and Brent Ploson take second win of the year on Larder Lake. The team used thier slow fishing presentation
to catch the 12.52lbs which would good enough to win the Tournament. The team said they caught lots of fish but new that
most of the fish in Larder Lake, are the same size, and that anyone can win on this lake with a 2 1/2 lb average, so
we just hoped we had enough and it turned out just right. I know we cant buy a new car with what we make fishing, but
the fun we have, plus the plaques and bragging rights last a lot longer and are alot sweeter, LOL.
I just cant belive more anglers dont come out to Larder Lake, becuse there are so many fish here, and the best part is
they are allmost all the same size. Big boats , small boats, it makes no differance here, because there are fish 40 feet
away from the launch site that can win the Tournament here and on top of that the people here in Larder are great, and
they love to see the anglers come to town.

Young anglers are the future of our sport, and for this reason our Series is set up so that any team can bring a young
angler up to 15 out to fish with them or just for the ride in any qualifyier to see what Tournament fishing is all about.
Its not a easy decission, because with 3 in a boat you have to watch out for lines flying, tangles, getting stuck and
the odd hook in the head, but to a young angler its a blast, if done right, and on a Lake like Larder Lake which has lots
of Bass its the perfect spot.
Paul Boucher and Jason Mazzocato decided to take Jasons son Tyler, to the Larder Lake Tournament to see what being in a
Tournament is really like, and the team knows the water well, which is a bonus. When the team came back at weigh in time
they managed to catch 11.82lbs, which put them in second place for the day, and by the smile on Tylers face I think he
will remember this day for a long time.

Dennis Breen and Andrew Schonfeldt who have been the Tournament coordinators for the Larder Lake Tournament for years
now, not only did a great job of running the Tournament, but managed to do a great job fishing it also. The team brought
11.50lbs to the scales for 3rd place but also managed to catch the biggest fish of the day that weighed in at 3.06lbs.

I,am going to tell you that the anglers who are starting to run these events are getting better and better, and I,am right
proud of them for doing a great job. Pretty soon they are not going to need us old boys getting in their way, which is what
I have allways hoped forin the Series. Then we can spend more time concentrating on giveing them a wippen, LOL.
Rounding off the top 5 places was.
4th Place went to Gerry Angellichio & John Sullivan with 11.12lbs.

With 5th Place going to Calven & Carole Neill with 11.08lbs.

Temiskaming Smallmouth Bass Anglers would like to thank the Sullivan family for their great hospitality, in letting us
use their garage for the weigh in due to a small down pour out side. We also wont to thank the Larder Lake Lions who
have been our sponsors for the Larder Lake Tournament from the first event we ever had there.
